OHMS Celebrates 25 years

Orchard House Middle School began as a dream of parents who wanted to create a small, all-girls middle school in Richmond, Virginia. Led by educator Nancy Davies and several passionate women (the founding mothers) Orchard House opened its doors in 1998.

Based on research on the development and psychology of middle school girls, the program was designed with a nurturing environment for girls that recognized their physical, mental, and emotional changes while nurturing a diverse student body.

In our 25 year history, Orchard House has strived to provide excellent education for middle school girls, constantly evaluating and implementing cutting edge research and programs. has been nurturing the hearts and minds of hundreds of middle school girls giving them the strength and confidence to lead extraordinary lives. 

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are taking this special opportunity to celebrate the people and accomplishments of Orchard House and communicate an exciting vision for generations of girls to come.
