Women’s History Month: Nancy Davies

March is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating with speakers and experiences that highlight women of Virginia and women who are very close to home for us at Orchard House.

We kicked off programming with a speaker who is very close to home—founding OHMS Head of School Nancy Davies! Ms. Davies shared stories about the early days of our school, including Orchard House Middle School's foundational philosophies. She brought along a replica of the original Dream Quilt and a story about a question from one of the original 17 students. Q: Is it okay if you change your dream? A: Absolutely! Dreams are always evolving. Thank you, Ms. Davies, for visiting us at this point in our evolution and reminding us of all the important things we've held onto as we've grown these past 25 years.-
